Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 12, 2005 0.02 constantly? Bizarre. They normally stick at 0.45 when dead. Dealer is best for the probe, £75. You can try a pattern one from GSF if you like, needs to be a 4 pin job and make sure it's not a universal one as they don't have a plug on the end. H8RRA 0 Posted October 12, 2005 whats the options for wideband? Expensive i s'pose and really haven't got my head round what benefit they have
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 12, 2005 Wide band operates over 5 Volts instead of 1 and allows a broader range of fuel trimming, aswell as giving much more accurate Oxygen level readings. I doubt our ECUs would work with a 5V probe anyway.
H8RRA 0 Posted October 12, 2005 thinking ahead to a p8pro but probably jumping the gun at the mo....
Henny 0 Posted October 12, 2005 H8RRA, get yourself an LM1 wideband system, it'll interface with the normal ECU as it has a 1V output too, but you can then use it with your new 5V ECU in the future... ;)
H8RRA 0 Posted October 12, 2005 wide band sensor for $79.99 !!! -
Henny 0 Posted October 12, 2005 yeah, you'll need an LC1 (sorry, got the wrong name in my last post) for $199 including a Bosch wideband probe... That'll give you everything you need for your narrowband ECU you're currently running AND allow you to run a wideband in the future... I'm seriously considering getting one of these shortly when I've saved up a little... 8)
keithmac 0 Posted October 20, 2005 http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/zt2.htm That`s what I use, can`t fault it at all, very good display and the control box is tiny!
Henny 0 Posted October 21, 2005 keithmac, interesting... 8)
keithmac 0 Posted October 21, 2005 Yeh they`re not bad! I`d run the stock bosch lambda sensor as well rather than the emulated narrowband as there`s been a few issuses with the emulated signal and digi1 (not just Zeitronix, quite a few others). Works perfectly on the MS.
