xnology 0 Posted November 10, 2005 From everything I've read here and elsewhere, it looks like I can't run a VAG COM connector on my new G60. I have another '90 G60 with ABS and it seems it has the right connections to work with VAG COM, but I want to get rid of it because it --HAS ABS--!!! They seem to be a little sketchy as far as dependability.
Ronan 0 Posted November 10, 2005 Mine is an H plate G60, doesn't have ABS. I have the brown wire for VAG-COM, but not the other two wires it needs. Apparently some just came without it from the factory.

RW1 0 Posted November 10, 2005 Anything pre 1992 is most likely to be analogue (blink code) technology. VAG-COM is digital, so not compatible. Also, pre 1994 cars will need a 16 pin connector to a two x two black white connector converter. ..
dr_mat 0 Posted November 10, 2005 I think you can get codes out from the ABS system but not the engine ECU on the G60.
RW1 0 Posted November 10, 2005 Only if there are 4 wires to the 2x2 connectors. 1,2, & 3 wires only are analogue. 1992 model build only. .
xnology 0 Posted November 10, 2005 Bad luck for me. There is only a single 2 wire connecter under my shift boot.
