Paul B 0 Posted November 12, 2005 Hi there, I'm a new Corrado owner....well actually I don't actually have the car in my posession yet....but anyway I have a modified Mk2 Golf GTI 8v that's been in a an accident. This car has a set of Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs fitted. What I was wondering is, could I use this suspension set up on a Corrado 16V?
Supercharged 2 Posted November 13, 2005 Welcome to the forum... I'd think it would fit phyically but I'd check with the manufacturer / supplier to compare the kits between the cars and check what the differences are if any...
Yandards 0 Posted November 13, 2005 Hi and welcome. It is unlikely they will be the right ones at the front as its a mk 2 - it tends to be the mk 3 golf stuff that is interchangable due to the Corrado being heavier than a mk 2.
Walesy 0 Posted November 13, 2005 yip, although that may depend on what year of raddo you've got?, I put Mk3 lowering springs on my 95 raddo and they were great.
Paul B 0 Posted November 13, 2005 Cheers for the welcome :) Hope to be sticking around for a while The Corrado is a 1991 16V and my Golf is a 1990. Was hoping I could save some cash by using the Golf's suspension, until I can afford some coilovers anyway
sciroccotune 0 Posted November 13, 2005 im fairly sure that mk2 struts fit the corrado. you will need to check spring rates.
