dinkus 10 Posted November 15, 2005 I'd get it hooked up to VAG-COM and see if you've got any error messages showing up. The VAG-COM scanning and help thread should be of help ;) Good luck :)
antonio_b12 0 Posted November 15, 2005 could be cam senors....
dr_mat 0 Posted November 15, 2005 It would help if you defined "no power" a bit better. It could be cam sensor, but you'd only lose a portion of power output, so it'd just feel a bit flat. It wouldn't be a 1.1 though, so "slow" is subjective ... Does it smoke? Use oil? Does it stutter or just pull smoothly through the revs but without real shove? What MPG are you getting? VAG-COM/VW diags kit will help you just by telling you if all your engine sensors work as they should..

RW1 0 Posted November 15, 2005 Eh? Fit a new one without knowing?? Plus if it is the camshaft sensor, the fault needs to be cleared before the engine will run properly again. Diagnose first. Analyse the result. Then apply corrective action!. :) .
