Sounds dodgy as fooooooooook!

Yeah it's not good. Even more so if they turn out to be real 'Corrado Entusiasts'.

I had one dealing with a VW specialist* near me while I was looking for my first corrado, and that has put me off the weasels for life.

* Term used very loosely there.

and that has put me off the weasels for life.

But not Badgers or Otters?

Nah. nothing like a good otter having your tea on the table when you get home from a hard day at work.

if it was up to me to advise people I would say look elsewhere this guy is a king bullshitter and knows nothing about the cars.

best to buy private, on the forum or off a "respected" dealer

This guy is a grade A t##t in my opinion, i only live 45 mins away from him and rang him to view a couple of C's that he had. I've never dealt with a dealer with such a bad attitude it was like i was putting him out just ringing him and he had no intention whatsoever of actually letting me see the cars. As much as i wanted a good C i'm not tolerating idiots like him so i was patient and got a good one off here. STEER CLEAR.

On talking to him at the NEC last weekend it was fairly clear that he does not have an in-depth knwledge of Corrados and he openly admitted that he does not particularly like them but that their is good money to be made from them.

He said he's always getting phonecalls from people looking for advice, often about cars that they already own or are looking at buying - I can undestand why that would annoy him, however giving people advice (if you have the knowledge in the first place) wouldn't cost him anything and might allow him to build a better reputation.

From what I heard from him I'd suggest that I'd treat him as I would with any used car dealer - with caution, certainly seems to have a healthy throughput of cars but its clear he's not an enthusiast and is only interested in the money

Yeah i think your right Andy, but one of the best things abut owning not only a vw but especially a corrado is the community that comes with it, the amount of superb people you meet that bend over backwards to help you out is what its all about. When you come across a pr##k thats just trying to take the p#ss out of that enthusiasm and make as much money as he can ripping people off its a bit s##t in my imo. Rant over. Ill put my soapbox away now. :)

i purchased an excellent corrado from TCS and he seems a really nice bloke, But because he specializes in Corrado`s he said that he gets lots of idiots ringing him with stupid questions about Corrado`s, when i was there 2 people rang him 1 asking what size wheels fit a Corrado and the other asking him how to fix the alarm on his Corrado...... so look at it from his side ......
