craigowl 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Cold conditions followed by snow/slush/salt and milder humid air often cause this. Seen in my street this morning. PS Doesnt quite fit in with that advert that shows a VW pulling away into the road from a line of parked snow covered cars on a wintry morning. "If only everything in life were as reliable as a Volkswagen". Still, we love 'em! (Best put that in lest any local dealers be watching.)

craigowl 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Phil K said You're sure that wasn't car thieves? lol If I had a truck like that, I wouldnt use it to collect a Beetle and an "R" reg Passat, chum!
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 26, 2005 You'll notice it's two modern VWs being towed away.... what would have been nice if the shot included a MK2 and a Corrado driving past oblivious to the weather :-)
dr_mat 0 Posted November 26, 2005 No, old VWs spend the summer blowing decrepit hoses due to pressure build-up instead of letting you down in the winter..! ;)
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 26, 2005 LOL, the only part of my coolant system that's blown is the water pump and matrix... interestingly my hoses are all fine.....touch wood!
