G60Jet 1 Posted December 9, 2005 Ok, My missus has a Golf 100bhp PD the diesel engine has developed a misfire on one cylinder, but my question is to any derv boffins, How the hell do a DERV mis fire, Its not mechanical its only intermitant. CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted December 9, 2005 It will have common fuel rail and therefore electronic fuel injectors like a petrol car but the derv runs 80volts to the injectors instead of 12volts. It also has about 800-2000bar of pressure in the rail.. :crazyeyes: These are prone to screwing up and is soooooooooooooooo expensive to renew.
