Shaggy 0 Posted December 21, 2005 I have got my Piper 270 cam in now, and its been in for about 500 miles now, just wondering how lumpy the idle should be with a cam like this, i have noticed when warm that it tends to idle a little rough... like its miss firing ever so slightly etc etc, it runs almost perfectly apart from that. the car hasnt been properly setup by darren and G-werks yet, so i should think this might help it a little? eveything is lined up and the timing set correctly. Maybe i am just being a little to paranoid 8)
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted December 21, 2005 High lift cams will never idle as smoothley as stock. Was it just cam that was changed or other head work?

olly elworthy 0 Posted December 21, 2005 i have a kent 266 and a big valve head and my idle is a little lumpy, no worries there mate,, , even more so when cold now i have increaced the fulelling a bit and running a 3.5 bar fpr,, still dialling in my air fuel ratio at the mo,, i am like 11.9 - 12:1 under boost which is a little on the safe side,, FMIC next thougfh that should use up a bit of the fuel so we shall see,, gonn get it as close as i can myself then have a RR remap,,
Supercharged 2 Posted December 21, 2005 May be just the nature of the cam but see what Darren says...
