scoob 0 Posted December 29, 2005 Really need some help here. my 2.0 16V has been idling wildly, basically when i start the cold from cold revs go up to 3000 if leave for about 15mins till the temp gets to 110 degrees, turn the engine then start it after 4mins it runs smoothly at 956 revs but after about 20 mins of driving it the revs go up to 2000 or 2500. i was told the problems was my idle valve so changed it and had the car tuned. one of the error codes that i got was 00587 and it says adjust limit mixture control, adaptation range below minimum. The mixture has been adjusted and the idling is fine except occasionally the engine wil rev to 1005 just for a second and then back to 956. apparently my fuel distribution unit maybe faulty, this is the unit situated on the lid of the air filter housing, could this be correct?
