cubed 0 Posted January 11, 2006 just wondering if anyone can help on this one? i recently fitted fk highsport coilovers to my c i,m happy with em but they make a poing noise when coming of a kerb for example, only from the rear! i remember when i fit them there was no compression on them, only when the weight of the car sits on them. could i have fit them wrong or could it be my axle bushes creating the noise? i,m changing the bushes next week, any help gladly appreciated!! thanks
Rpmayne 0 Posted January 11, 2006 The springs should always be under some compression to keep the spring seated correctly. If the car is jacked up and the spring can be moved I'm pretty sure that's an mot fail. Don't know much about coil overs but could you have wound the seat down to a greater distance than the length of the uncompressed spring?
