ardandy 0 Posted January 18, 2006 My mates VR6 has just sprung a leak. The hose coming out of the back of the engine and then seems to go into the dashboard area has split. Its was dark last night so couldn't see much. Steam everywhere and waters peeing out of this pipe. It enters the engine block near the top of the back of the engine. Assuming you know which one I mean, any ideas on cost for repair? Is it something that can be done on site as he obviously cant move it. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Roger Blassberg 0 Posted January 18, 2006 I imagine it's the one with a kink in it and a smaller bore branch off to the throttle body. About £60 for the hose (I know, it's incredible isn't it ??!!), and a few minutes cursing to get the hose clips on and off. Plus a bottle of G12+ to top up the coolant system.
