Kevin Bacon 5 Posted January 23, 2006 Crankcase bearings? The only bearings on the crank are mains and big ends, which have you replaced? So long as you used the relevant bedding paste (or liberal oiling with engine oil) then just take it easy for the first few hundred. Apologies in advance if I've misunderstood! samg60 0 Posted January 23, 2006 well if you mean big end shells, did mine year and half ago thrashed it straight away, probably not the best thing to do but cant help myself with a g, hard no to grow horns  , anyway had not problems with them since, just lots of oil on the bearings before hand. potatonet 0 Posted January 24, 2006 500 miles dont rev past 5, first 100 dont rev past 4. grease em up good. =-) this is for rod bearings =-), crank bearings are 100 miles dont pass 5 and you are set. if you use enuff grease you can thrash them straight off.
