Power steering rack - quick job could save future trouble...

...just a thought. After weeks of doing nothing to get my C back on the road and fixing power steering rack, finally got under her on Saturday....and found that the rack appears fine, but one of the metal pipes was corroded to buggery, leaking fluid. The new old rack I had got to fit also has a pin prick through corrosion, same pipe, same place!

 

These cars aren't getting any younger, so as soon as weather gets better, I would advise getting under your C and putting some grease or Waxoyl over the metal pipes on the rack! :wink:
