jhanlon 0 Posted February 6, 2006 I've started noticing a slight groaning sort of noise when I'm rolling back slowly in reverse during a 3 point turn. I've not had this before and I'm not sure what might be causing it. Anyone else experienced this?
lottysvdub 0 Posted February 6, 2006 is the steering wheel on a full lock when its doing this noise , as mine used to make a rubbing noise when doing this sounds a little like a groan , turned out to be badly worn top mounts causing front wheels to rub slightly on full lock when in reverse
G 0 Posted February 6, 2006 U sure u haven't caught someone in your rear bumper? That would cause a groaning sound. Sorry i couldnt resist. :drinking:
2cc 0 Posted February 7, 2006 I am getting this too, it is a build up of crud on the egdes of the rear pads. Whip em out and clean them and all will be well. Unfortunately, in the current weather conditions they soon get gunged again and the noise will reappear.
jhanlon 0 Posted February 14, 2006 seems to be on any reversing manoevure, not just when on full lock. Cheers for this - I'll take a look at the pads then.
