Yes, Fleebay one will do the job.

Remember to set VAG-COM to 4,800 baud before selecting interrogation of the engine ECU and the main lead must have an electrical interface isolation coupling, not the optical coupling isolation type for the ECU. Very fickle.

I think that is the problem with my set up. I have Vag com which worked on my Seat Leon, but not the Corrado.

RW1,

Any ideas on the cheapest place to get a main lead with electrical interface isolation?

I know we have spoken via email about this previously - I'm only just getting to the point where I've got time to try and get to grips with this.

Kongo127, How many wires in total to the black and the white connectors on the car? 4? And chassis number minus the last 3 digits? PM if need be.

Can someone explain a bit more about this electrical interface isolation coupling? I've got a 2.0 16v and just want to make sure I purchase the correct cables. In this something in addition to the interface cables, or a special type of interface cable? Also, does it matter if I purchase serial or USB when I get my cables?
