16v ill and getting worse. and ideas????

hi all. following up regarding an earlier post. my 16v starts fine and runs perfectly for about 2-3mins, then all hell breaks loose and the engine starts backfiring and rocking back and fore and is utterly undrivable. :x

 

suggestion from you all before as follows, and i have so far

 

changed lamba

changed temp switch

changed leads

changed coil

changed all the piping from filter to inlet manifold ( due to holes)

Fiddled with mixture a bit ( but nothing so reset it)

 

Has anyone got any other suggestions ( it does run a little better if i disconnect the temp switch when backfiring) as the car has been off road for 6 weeks now :roll:

Does it have a WUR, 5th injector, auxilery air valve on this engine? If so these could be to blame.

It does have a 5 injector. do you mean the injector could be fluffed????

BTW. its a 2.0 l 16v., sorry should have mentioned

[VR6 0]
