markp 0 Posted February 15, 2006 Just given them a call and they do the full geometry setup including camber settings for £90 +VAT. Bit cheaper than £130 quoted by VW! Has anyone used them before? http://www.mastertechs.co.uk/ If not does anyone know anywhere else in the area that can do the geometry setup?

markp 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Thats a bargain. Is it the full 4 wheel laser alignment thingy. Where abouts are you getting it done mate, wouldn't mind having the number if poss? I'm going to get the suspension next week. I've decided to go with the H&R cup kit from g-werks now as it is supposed to be better suited to the 4 cylinder cars than the Koni + H&R combo. Can't wait! khurrado 0 Posted February 26, 2006 TBH they dont do the alignment, but hey have the guages for the camber. Ive had really bad luck with mechanics in the area. I had my tracking done at RSR tyres in sutton(not digital though). Ive got the number, its 0208 947 4949 ask for Matt or Nathan, im sure there are much better places in the area, these guys are NOT vw specialists. markp 0 Posted February 26, 2006 ok mate I think I might take it up to mastertech and let them have a go. Apparently they have got all the kit that you would find at a dealer and its about the same price that stealth charge. I don't like rsr in sutton they always do a rushed job IMO. If you haven't had much luck with mechanics my mate does all the work on mine, he used to own 2 g60's so is used to working with them. If you want I can give you his number. He's not a VW specialist by any means but he is a good honest bloke, works in a garage on Garth Road if interested.
khurrado 0 Posted February 26, 2006 Yeh defintely, pass his number on mate!! Ive got this week off to fix my car, as the 1 1/2 hr bus journey to work will kill me(its only 6 miles away and 25mins by car)
Dan_Storm 0 Posted February 26, 2006 Please let us know if they are any good. We need a decent VW specialist in the area!

Dan_Storm 0 Posted August 4, 2006 Digging up an old thread here!! I used Mastertechs yesterday. I got a new waterpump, 2 new rear wheel bearings and the brake fluid flushed. I was very impressed with them, felt safe leaving my car in their hands. And they use genuine VW parts. The only complaint I could give was that there were a couple of greasy fingermarks on the leather. I'd definately use them again.
