2_Door_fun 0 Posted February 22, 2006 As the title sez. My Bat tray is well holed so rather than ignore it whilst the car is an ongoing thing I want to cut out the old rotten tray and weld in a new piece. Can you get panels for the C. If so where from

roo 0 Posted February 23, 2006 I've just got one of these from the stealers at a bargain price of about £35...however I did have to wait 6 months for it as it was on backorder!! Part number is 535 803
2_Door_fun 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Fantastic. Yout drive looks just like mine hahahahaha. I love it. Great set of images. That is a rebuild as serious as my own. I see there is a heavy box section under the bat tray. Is cutting the tray out easy enough? You tray is identical to mine  Not good. Reminded me of Mk4 Escorts. Once the tray is rotten the rust is in the chassis on the old Ford's. I'll take that part No down to the stealers this week. Cheers Bud.
roo 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Cheers!, home just wouldn't be complete without some car related action going on :) I ordered my battery tray in July last year and it arrived just as i'd re-fitted the engine 6 months later, bloody typical, so i've never actually fitted it. The chassis leg box section was pretty much unaffected on mine, it was just the body panel to the side that was rotten. I reckon that cutting the rotten metal out should be pretty easy though.
