strut rubbing on 9's at the back

bought some new wheels 16 x 7.5 et 20 on the front and 16 x 9 et 15 on the back, am i going to have issues in terms of the wheel hitting the strut bearing in mind i am lowered 60 mil on a spax kit not coilovers.

 

just occured to me after reading some old posts via the search.

Should be fine; Laura (scarlett) is running 9x16 ET15 at the back, lowered around 50mm on non-coilover suspension... :)

You need the ET 15 to clear the strut its the arches that should concern you.

 

not all the time unfortunately... some still require a bit of a spacer to assist

Im not heavily into the stretch tyred look but will obviously need to go as low as possible to minimise rubbing. whats the best i can hope to get on 215 x 40 maybe 225 x 40

you know as well as i do that to put a 9" on the back of a corrado correctly you need to stretch the tyre mate.. Remember what you learned about simply attaching a wheel or correctlly fitting one ! :wink:

you know full well i agree with that sizing,,, but not everyone wants to pay abt £85+ per tyre and wants the same look,,, although its correct 8)

that seems a rare tyre size, who makes them darren?
