NGK Spark Plugs - Platinum or Iridium ???

Anyone know the advantages/disadvantages of each ?

Iridium - BKR5EIX

 

for the record they both cost around the same price (£6-£7 each)...

i think plats are good for 40k miles and the iridium's are good for longer
