Supercharged 2 Posted April 19, 2006 Yeah but it's too long for the sharp angle off the VSR Kev, cutting it won't help either really because of the locations of the bend... It's not crucial but this rigid plastic one with flexi joints fitted perfectly but not sure where it's from, just came in the VSR box already attached to the rubber MAF/TB hose... Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 19, 2006 Never had that problem with my VGI, maybe the VSR is a bit different!
mgbv8mike 0 Posted April 19, 2006 The problem appears to stem from the angle of the inlet port on my VSR, it is 60 degrees out of parallel to the block, compared with the 30 degrees of the original one, so the rigid plastic bend is too big, I can just jam a cone filter on the airflow, and it's pressed hard against the cam-cover.I need a longer pipe with a shallower bend. We managed to sort out the breather pipes OK. The flexible rubber pipe off my V8 MGB ( which came off a Range Rover ) does not fit, too short, wrong diameter, and no take-offs for ISV and canister.
