Is it a groan or is it more like a squeaky hum?

I love describing sounds

I'll be damned if I can describe it properly - I'll try and record it, its prob a bearing or the caliper sticking - I'm just wondering about the relevance of the steering angle

Have you checked the power steering fluid. I had a "groaning" with my C a few weeks ago, started off on the left hand side but gradually got worse over a few days and happened when pulling the steering wheel to the left or right, it had no fluid in it, stopped when i filled it up.

Problem is 2 weeks on, same things just happened, no fluid in it again, trip to the mechanic tomorrow i think!! :(
