Is this right?

Recommended Posts

I've highlighted in the pic a part that is split in two... (Ignore the HT lead)

I'm not sure though if it is mean't to be like this or it has split (if so it's a perfect break) :?

Many thanks

Martin.

Its the crank case breather which feeds back into the inlet. It shouldnt be split. You can remove it and use a small breather filter and block the other end going to the plastic inlet pipe.

It is split near the bigger bit left of the arrow, you can hear it sucking when the car is running...

Will this be effecting my idle?

Cheers.

It won't do your idle any favours, as the break is after the MAF you are allowing unmetered air in.

Cheers!

This "crank case breather", cheap part to replace or STEVE@ can you give a better description of how to remove/bypass :)

Thanks

Martin
