car recomendations

Recommended Posts

well ive got a new job

thats 42 miles from my house

so thats a 95 ish mile round trip everyday

and theyve given me a car allowance :D

so im after summat reliable, smaller than my massive volvo tank

still havent decided what to do with the corrado, thought about LPGing it and using it for work but an average of 30k miles a year i dont think it will manage it

dont wanna spend above £4k (want to plow more money into my mortgage than a car) and dont care what i looks like or power as long as it does 50mpg + is cheap to insure and run

dont realllllly want to go more than 8 years old either

now before any one mentions it, i had an audi 80 tdi a few years ago, amazing car, but a little too 'big'

so any ideas lads ?

my shortlist is

1.8 (non turbo) diesel fiesta

fiat panda 1.3 diesel

Do a search on autotrader for SEAT Arosa £3000-£4000 with the postcode G71 6BS and it will be the last one hopefully...... :thumbleft:

Was at VW on the weekend - you can get a fox for 20 quid a week! That has to be cheaper then a bus pass
