quicky1980 0 Posted June 2, 2006 i know halford do the service so that the exact colour of your car can be made into a spray can, but they charge so much. where else can i try?
Phil K 0 Posted June 2, 2006 Just go in to the Dealers armed with your paint code and get a can of spray paint in the exact shade! No need for the work experience staff at Halfords to try matching your paint and all for about £12 IIRC 8)

Supercharged 2 Posted June 4, 2006 Yeah - VW is the best place if they still do it (I bought Aqua Blue 2 or 3 years ago) or a proper paint place or body shop (ie not Halfords altho there £2 touch up pens are ok)
Guest Posted June 4, 2006 I thought the colour match from Halfords was very good, and the cans are alot bigger (so you can't really compare the price). I've had a couple of cans from VW and a couple from Halfords, and tbh I was happier with Halfords as you get more for your money. depends who's mixing it though as said above
Spykee 0 Posted June 9, 2006 there is a place in Swansea called Livermores who do paint to the exact shade of your car and they are pretty cheap as well. i take it the reason your nopt going to VW with your paintcode is becuase of fading or ageing of the paint? if thats the problem but you dont want to have to spray too much then go to these guys cos they will do the colour exactly to the 'current' colour of your car and not necessarily what it was supposed to be like at new. swansea is about 40 mins from central cardiff...... i take it your living in the Roath area but not actually roath cos thats far too expensive for students! :)
Walesy 0 Posted June 9, 2006 i take it your living in the Roath area but not actually roath cos thats far too expensive for students! Eh? the only reason Roath is too expensive is because loads of bastids bought up all the properties to rent out to students at inflated prices  Roath is student-land
