Bones 0 Posted September 18, 2003 Ok guys I'm now ready for some wheels by what I've looked at on here and by way of speaking to people it seems 16s are the way to go, for me at least, but what offset should i look for and how far can I drop the suspension will I be Ok with 40mm (iwant to retain some comfort) And what profile tyre
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 18, 2003 You have to choose an appropriate offset that prevents tyre contact with the inner arch on full lock and the outer arch lip over mid bend bumps/rounabouts etc. You should be able to keep the inner arch liners in place with 16s, so long as you don't go too low, 40mm should be OK. Choosing the right offset can be tricky but the general consensus seems to be 35mm. Kev
cramer 0 Posted September 18, 2003 remember offset is dependent on width. so the 40mm would work on a 7" wide wheel, while 35mm is for a 7.5".
