TomD 0 Posted June 6, 2006 Ok....I'm feeling like a proper newbie compared to knowing just about everything about my golf.....but what is this?? Went to fit a boost deletion kit to my corrado today and found this attached to the hose just after the ISV, doesnt look factory at all and has no VAG etc makings, the hose has been chopped to accomodate it... Was here (to right of mole grips... Its basically a cylindrical bit of metal with a ball bearing inside which can move up and down the length of it, but with a bar at one end to stop it coming out. Any ideas??? :?
Shaggy 0 Posted June 6, 2006 i think thats a giro valve maybe?? Not Standard anyway, dont think they do much, so wont harm if you leave it out.

TomD 0 Posted June 8, 2006 It stops boost leaking out of faulty ISVs Ah ok cheers...so if I ran this in between the ISV and a breather (I.E. Boost Return Deletion Kit) It would be ok? :)
