matthewb1985 0 Posted June 16, 2006 i have been having running problems since i bought my C a year ago. It idles strangley and pinks alot too. took it to a reccomended garage near me to get it checked out again. Needs a new distributor cap which i have just got. The guy also suggested my throttle body could have a problem. The guy has worked on the 9A quite alot and seems to know what he is doing. Would the distributor cap be causing pinking??? Riley 0 Posted June 16, 2006 hi m8, sounds like the ignition timing possibly wants pulling back a bit. does it pink under load at low rpm? as for the dodgy idle,he's probably thinking about just cleaning the throttle body out... neil. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
