andy 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Almost finished re-installing my rear beam after re-bushing etc. In the Bentley manual it describes a procedure using 2 pry bars before tightening the main beam bolts. Anyone done this or is it really necessary. I've got the car in its normal position back on its wheels and am tempted to just torque them up but don't want to ruin anything. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 20, 2006 Stealth usually tighten the bolts with the car on the floor. I think the thing you need to avoid is tightening them with the axle hanging down as it stretches them when the car is back on the ground again IIRC.
