Dr Forinor 0 Posted July 7, 2006 My friend with a Mk5 Golf 2.0 TDi has just upgraded his front brakes to Mk5 Golf GTi brakes and obvsiouly has the originals to spare. He's pretty sure they are 288mm. Can anyone shed any light on whether or not they will fit for me?
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted July 7, 2006 Think the stud pattern are different. 5x108?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted July 7, 2006 MK5 stud pattern is 5x112, so you can't use the discs, but if they're 288s (and they probably will be) you can use the calipers, carriers and pads and get 288 highline discs from where ever.
Dr Forinor 0 Posted July 7, 2006 Nice one, thanks for the replies.
Taggart 0 Posted July 7, 2006 Would they not need spacers like the 312s?
dinkus 10 Posted July 7, 2006 As all the mk4 brakes need spacers on the carriers, I'd assume the Mk5 ones do too, but no idea.
