RADO.001 0 Posted August 2, 2006 ive just heard a squeeking noise coming from the drivers side front wheel (i think). not there all the time seems fine on the flat then go over a large bump and its starts doing when i go over any bump in the road!! :mad: any ideas peolpe, its driving me mad along with the squeek in the dash i cant find! so any and help/ideas welcome dave Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Roger Blassberg 0 Posted August 3, 2006 It could be a brake pad just touching the disc, which in turn could be due to a slack wheel bearing or the pad moving slightly in the caliper (cure this by taking pads out and applying copper grease to the back plates). Try feathering the brake and listening for the squeak to disappear. Any evidence of the brake binding, like hot discs, higher fuel consumption, lots of brake dust etc?
