Kevin Bacon 5 Posted August 11, 2006 Gas Monotubes (the H&R/Bilsteins) are good on low speed ride comfort and close packed bumps, but not quite so good with B road undulations. You need twin tubes for that. Monotubes generally have a higher bump rate than twin tubes, but the ethos among twin tube boys is "sit the car on the springs and let the damper do the damping", so in other words, don't worry about going for hard springs, let those do the bump work and let the damper do the rebound work ;-) The PSS9s do have a good rep for track work tho.
