carpoid 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Ended up getting towed home today !! Engine cut out after spluttering for a bit, popped the bonnet, and it looks like all the wires around the coil and TB have got very hot and are black from a possible small fire ?? Was checking things over and then smoke started to come up from underneath the TB/Coil area, but i couldn't see exactly where from. Any ideas !! ??? carpoid 0 Posted August 14, 2006 Hi Steve, cheers mate, but i didn't get a pic of it. Its gone over to a well known VW Mechanic in Sydney, just looking for ideas really, just hope he 'll sort it !
