.A.N.T. 0 Posted August 13, 2006 This isn't good right! He's been driving the 303 about the legal speed limit (or just over) when the red light started flashing. Pulling over the buzzer started as well. The water temp is 110 which is way high. Oil temp is nearer normal. There's a bulge in one of the water pipes (apparently) and an oily film on the back of the car. Sounds like it's been leaking oil onto the sump and the recent rain and puddles have washed it off and blown it to the back of the car. Question is, what is wrong..? Will he be ok to drive it the 8 miles remaining to his camp if he fills it with oil again? he hasn't checked the oil level yet as the engine is still warm (hot) Any ideas? He's a member of the AA and knows most of the drivers by name he's had them out so many times so he can call them... EDIT: It's a 1.8 16v. Edit 2: Oil level is full and temp is about 100 deg now after about a half hour of standing...... on a lighter note I'm in a connundrum over a blackberry VR6 and whether to buy it or not...
