flat spot when changing gear between third and fourth...

in my 2.0 8v golf, i have a flat spot when accelerating hard changing from third to fourth and then to fifth, it lasts a couple of seconds and then it picks up again!!!! any ideas, i have changed the dizzy cap and leads!! :? :? :?

still doing it after a full service with new plugs..... any ideas....... please help :(

Only a guess but you could try the fuel pump relay there quite cheap and well easy to change :-)
