ollieVR 0 Posted September 21, 2006 Hello I hope someone can help, I've got a couple of ideas what the problem could be just need some other, more experienced input. I've just changed one of the oil pressure senders on my VR to solve an oil leak. I started the car up and checked for leaks... result.. not a drop! However, I then got in the car and noticed the pressure light is still flashing while the engine's running. I've checked the oil level and that's fine. The wire's connected to the sender so I think i'm left with 2 possible options. 1) I've got a faulty/incorrect sensor. I got it from GSF. They came out and checked it to see if it was the correct one when I bought it. 2) Something need resetting? Is there something else I'm missing? Has this happened to anyone else before? Can you help.
Stan 24v 0 Posted September 21, 2006 Could well be a dodgy sender, or an open circuit in the wire???
ollieVR 0 Posted September 21, 2006 Thanks for the reply. Although I have to confess you've lost me a bit when you say an 'open circuit'?
