Simple question - which way to turn caliper pistons

Hi, I'm just doing my back brakes and the caliper piston is almost all the way out. Just want to know whether its clockwise or anti-clockwise to wind it back in?

if your using the tool the little pins are set so they only catch one way but from memory its clock wise looking from the piston face (the face that contacts the back of the pads0

definitely clockwise

 

go buy a caliper wind back tool, makes life much easier
