jonnyboyo 0 Posted October 16, 2006 Help needed before the winter down pours arrive!!! My drivers side seat belt gets sodden after it has been raining for a while. It only gets wet where it rolls behind the rear panel. The exposed belt is dry. The rear offside footwell is bone dry as is the boot. Any info would be mucho appreciated as i am this close to having a stab at removing (and undoubtedly breaking) the panel to get to the belt :?
Skimask 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Jonny, I have the same problem - the most common culprit is the sunroof - but in my case its not that. I have no sunroof! The only other place I can think of is the fuel cap cover or the quarter window seal. I've yet to have a go at finding the leak - I have loads of other more urgent problems with the car. I suppose one way is to remove the panel and dust the area with talcum powder - and see where the leak is coming from.
