Mike Edwards 0 Posted October 23, 2006 Several causes are possible: 1 or more circlips holding the gear lever end of the linkage together have come loose; The bushes at the gearlever end of the linkage are badly worn; The cables are loose at the gearbox end and/or are out of adjustment; The gearbox mount is shot; The selector mechanism in the gearbox is shot; A selection of the above in no particular order. redcorrado 0 Posted October 23, 2006 found it on vr6 forum it's very easy, 1 13mm nut. if you look down onto the top of the 'box, there's like a slide, nut on the end of the bolt facing towards the engine, keep it in nuetral, tighten that nut; that's central neutral, i.e. level with 3rd and 4th. It worked so i was well shocked took me 10 secs to fix the only spanner i had at home was the correct size a bit freaky..
