Rear VW Badge

Recommended Posts

So I decided to replace my chrome free VW badge with a nice new shiny one, popped the old one off and now I' try to pop the new one in it doesn't seem to clip in right.

Any tips??

thank y'all in anticipation

I had the same problem with mine...

What I did was just change the old silver badge bit, and use the old rubbery bit and plastic thang... (descriptive huh?)

I think there's actually some clip you also need to get, but I never bothered as it's stayed put when I changed it over...

In retrospect, I think they gave me the wrong one, becuase the plastic bit's that go in the holes were too close together & the black rubber surround was at the wrong angle... probably a Passat/Jetta one or something instead...

I'm sure someone who can actually help will be along soon

DtM.

You'll need the little blue plastic clips that go in the holes on the boot lid.

They're listed in ETKA if someone could kindly look them up.

I got mine from VW, think they were 5p each or something.

got the same problem with mine, swapped the rear badge and broke one of the little blue raw-plug looking things :S stuck it on with sticky stuff i had in my toolbox because i didnt think you'd be able to get them from the dealer, I'll have to give them a bell now :)
