my 16v turbo

Recommended Posts

Hi all I have a 1.9 16v turbotechnics corrado as a lot of you know, it uses K-JET and a 5th injector in the throttle body, my question is what gains would I get from fitting a raising rate fuel pressure regulator. Also how much are these + fitting cheers.

AFAIK, RRFPRs won't work on mechanical injection as EFI and K jet work completely differently.

You can either shim the metering head, but that also makes it rich across the whole fuelling range, or adjust the base pressure regulator (aka WUR mod), but again it's not very good. You need extra fuelling on boost only, not across the whole spectrum and Stealth got round that by using K Star with an additional rail of VR6 injectors.

K star no longer exists but the Dastek might be able to do it. Standalones such as the DTA S60 will get the most from your engine though, but you'll need to add a TDC wheel and sensor.

Occasionally KStar turns up for sale, I've seen a couple of set ups on here over the last year. I know Flusted had a set up for sale, I think he sold it though....
