timmaaah 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Does anyone know the wattage of the bulb (not the led) that illuminates the screen heater button to shown if it's turned on or off? After taking mine apart last night I managed to bust the filament - d'oh! It's a 94VR - the bulb is soldered into the gubbins of the switch. Are they easily available, or will a new switch out of a different car fit, from a scrappy, so I dont have to mess about with my soldering iron? Cheers y'all Timmaaah
coolrado 0 Posted November 4, 2006 you might be better off fitting an ultra bright led in there instead, you can get 12v ones that dont require a resistor, the reason some of the switches start to fall apart is the heat given off by the filament lamps. Roger Blassberg 0 Posted November 4, 2006 I used a bulb type 381, 1.2Watts. It's a bit of a fiddle to solder it in but it fits, it works and is not too bright or hot. Best wishes RB
