after loosing out on another set of recaro's on german e-bay :( even though i had put my maximum bid in higher than the winning bid??? again?? so was gonna buy some sorry (ford recaro's) get them re-trimmed in leather (probably a blood red colour) but would i have major problems in fitting them??

I cant see there being a major problem, you may be able to use your existing subframes which would make it straight forward.

depends if there recaro subframes. If you have standard vw subframes, save your money and put up with the factory seats.

i did that on my old valver.

 

the actual seat is much higher than corrado recaros. you will need to cut the longer sheetmetal from the base of the recaro..

 

then you will need a recaro frame. if you find a frame from a corrado, great, other wise you can use a seat frame from a golf although it will still seat a tad higher than oem. It bolts straight up with 6 allen bolts.

 

On the other hand, having this and regular corrado leather recaros, the fords are way more supportive going into turns.
