Do it yourself?

Recommended Posts

i recently ordered a 3.5bar FPR and a Epron from BBM, i was wondering of these parts would be hard to install myself or if i should have them done and just pay the cost in labor. i have a decent amount of mechanical experience. any intructions or help would be appreciated, i have a 90 g60 if that helps!!!

Did you get a pulley and belt as well?

The chip is more a computer technician sort of job, need a PC tool kit with a chip extractor and some small torx bits but it's fairly straight forward with the ECU on the bench - chips are very sensitive to static electircity so make sure you ground yourself.

FPR - fairly easy to swap, bit fiddly to get to but it's basically held on with 2 6or7 mm allen head bolts with one vac pipe and one fuel pipe going to it - gloves are a good idea!

Hiya - FPR is located on the end of the plastic injector rail on the left hand side of the engine bay - the rail is behind the head and infront of the inlet manifold.

When you get the new part you'll locate it easily enough!
