martinb 0 Posted January 19, 2007 Hi, I have just noticed that my brake warning light stays lit (dimly) all the time. It is hard to see in the daytime but very noticable at night. Its only while the ignition/engine is on and it still comes on much brighter like it should when the handbrake is on. Anyone know why this may be? I know my front discs and pads are getting low and need replacing soon, is it an indicator of this? Dunno if i has anything to do with it but a had my rear calipers freed off the other day and i only noticed the light shortly after i drove thru a fairly large flood yesterday afternoon. Cheers Martin :)
JoeNose 0 Posted January 19, 2007 Check brake fluid, and if OK try unplugging the blake fluid resevoir (single cable going in) and drive the car. If the light goes out, it's either the contacts on the plug or the float on the resevoir cap.
