eatthis 0 Posted February 5, 2007 i finally got round to fitting my 2nd hand mixture gauge yesterday but it seems intermittent sometimes it seems ok shows lean when i come off the throttle and goes towards rich when i use throttle. most of the time though it dives between full rich and full lean looks like friggin night rider lol its either gonna be a dodgy lambda sensor? (unlikely as the car drives fine??) or the gauge is buggered would that be right?
steve @ 0 Posted February 5, 2007 The dial is going to move when your on off throttle. How ever if its moving a fair amount with constant throttle then its got to be wiring/gauge/lambda fault.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 5, 2007 Yep, the gauge is doing what it's supposed to be. Part throttle on lambda controlled engines will always flick between lean and rich, but some guages can be programmed to give a slower response, thereby giving a more consistent guage. Full throttle should be about 12.5 AF if Vince mapped it? Ignore everything else.
eatthis 0 Posted February 5, 2007 as it is its useless it goes from fuill lean to full rich at constant part throttle
