can any body tell what the name of this engine part is?

it is to the left hand side of the manifold with a vacum pipe running into the front of in which comes acoss the manifold a second rubber hose from underneath and an electrical connection into the back it has avo vw sticker on it and is infront of the distributor level with the manifold?

sounds like the isv (ignition stabilization valve) but a photo would confirm

is this the same as a idle control valve that gsf sell? because i cannot find an isv in there catalogue?
