window winder - convert hand winder to electrical motor?

Hi,

 

Can anyone tell me whether its possible to convert a door that has a hand window winder to the later motorised version? Need to know before purchasing a door.

yep i did this on my replacement drivers side door, just drill out the rivots that hold the motor or winder mech in place and unbolt the rails and simply swap it all over and either re-rivot it in like i did or use some small nuts and bolts.

thanks - do they have rivets in the exact same locations? so a straight swap from hand winder -> motor?

yeah i think they where in the same place, i didnt have to drill any new ones anyway.
