headlamp probs

on first switch position side lights work fine but the light on the switch remains on

second position no dip side lights on light on the switch remains lit i'm able to use full beam but only as long as i keep using the stalk no uprated loom and fuses are fine switch is fine power to tghe stalk looks ok

 

is there an inline fuse i'm missing / relay

the car is a lhd not sure that it will make any difference

 

has any one had this problem or just me!!!!!

 

a wiring diagram would be good if any one can help

i think a similar thing happens when the engine is switched off and you put the headlights on (2nd position) so maybe there is a loose connection somewhere. im sure someone else will know more...

Bigdunk has your lighting wiring been upgraded like majority of us have done on this forum? (additional set of wiring directly linked through battery with two relays and two fuses?)

If not try the following:

-Check all fuses

-Remove plugs from rear of headlights check they are clean and try some electrical contact cleaner

 

If you still have no luck check inside the headlight units themselves to see if anything has gone awry!
