potatonet 0 Posted March 13, 2007 car squeeks in rear passenger portion of car, sounds like its behind the panel in the rear near the bottom. only does it on left turns. right turns makes it go away... bad bushings in rear beam? bad shock? sounds like inside car but the left turn thing makes me think otherwise. potatonet 0 Posted March 14, 2007 I removed all of the paneling and seat and everything and I think it may be outside in the rear mount for the shock, I will replace the brakes soon so I will look there when I do that.

Yandards 0 Posted March 15, 2007 The rear beam bushes are attached to the car in the area under the rear seats. This is also the point of the car with the least sound deadening material, so more noise will come through there. If it is the rear beam squeaking then I would suggest the bushes need doing urgently, they are shapped rubber with an internal steel bush the locates the bolt. If there is enough movement to enable the bush to squeak then it is very knackered!! The other thing to look at would be the rear wheel bearings, if one of these is a bit loose then it may cause the squeak.
